1.  In the minutes for your 10th April 2019, Full Council Meeting it states that 'A formal complaint has been submitted to Royal Mail concerning the re-occurrent loss and late arrival of post. This issue has been occurring intermittently over the past few months .'  Could this procedure be re-enacted? Today Davenant High School has closed down its year 12 classes after a confirmed case of Coronavirus was registered for one of their pupils. Many beleaguered students who had just returned to school after the longest school summer holiday in UK history, were required to vacate the school under emergency conditions, after only having returned for two weeks. Now Hannah has been told she must stay away from school for the next 14 days, with all her year group. For Hannah this has bene hard as she has just begun to understand her surroundings and made new friends, after leaving King Solomon High School. "Hearing about the virus and its impact is one thing but when it's this close to you, well that's a more intense situation. In a response to information shared with me in which attempts have been made to undermine the value of the yellow bus service in Chigwell Row and cast aspersions on 4 retired local councillors.  I have researched 5 years worth of Full Council Meeting notes.  Here is what I uncovered... Sometime in 2014 former Cllr John Knapman came up with the idea of introducing a community bus service to Chigwell Parish.  By the 8th of September 2015 he had began putting together an initial budget for the purchase of two buses (click here) .  On 9th June 2016 at a Full Council Meeting (click here) , Cllr Knapman was even given a vote of confidence to continue and was thanked for progress attained. Do you know the owner of this Mini? Over the last two weeks, a local Mini driver has been waking residents of Daylop Drive and Woolhampton Way, at unsociable hours, by revving a vehicle with a noise amplifier every night. The driver on the black Mini with white roof, has been captured on camera several times and today Chairman of the Chigwell residents Association, Wilson Chowdhry, has contacted local police and shared copies of videos by email. Video taken at 5.45 17th June 2020 A local resident has spoken with Mr Chowdhry, and made an earlier report to the local Police. He has informed Mr Chowdhry that the disturbance is being caused by a known individual, who has a personal grudge against the neighbours family and is using the adverse behaviour to intimidate them. By Wilson Chowdhry As an NHS volunteer, I have had a very difficult start to volunteering via the GoodSam App. The app was initially very difficult to follow, and then once I understood how to operate it, I received no notifications for the first month. Suddenly, over the last three weeks however, the app became very busy with alerts. But to my chagrin and disappointment, the app only sent me contact details for clients who had already been helped or for some other reason did not need any help. I persisted with the app, though articles in newspapers across the country spoke of the large wave of applicants who were leaving the volunteer programme. I am glad I did now, as two days ago I was able to report a safeguarding concern regarding a +70's client who had fallen from a ladder after trapping her leg. Paula Preston, Acting Team Rector for The Parish of Chigwell and Chigwell Row and The Vale of Roding Benefice, has sent a short message regarding Christian Aid Week.  We share this below for you. This week is Christian Aid Week, an annual  fundraising drive that has been organised by British Churches during the second week of May since 1957 and we at All Saints’ are taking part, in a covid conscious way, this year Christian Aid works with 700 local organisations across 50 developing countries. Working with poor communities, it trains people to deal with the effects of climate and prepares them for the threat of natural disasters. Today Chigwell Row Residents Association completed their first +70's self-isolation community support effort.  For a local resident we collected some prescription medicine from Lloyds Pharmacy and also posted a letter. We are hoping that this news will trigger more local requests, as we have a growing list of DBS checked volunteers who can help. Hannah Chowdhry, who helped with the delivery and collection of the prescription medicine, and posted the letter, said: "I am really pleased our first support service has been successful and hope it will encourage others to seek help. "I know there are many elderly people that are unaware of our team of people who are prepared to give up time for them. "Whether it is a shopping errand you need done, collection of a prescription, posting of a letter or someone to talk to - simply get in touch."
