Crazy driver with personal grudge causes alarm to sleeping residents
Do you know the owner of this Mini?
Over the last two weeks, a local Mini driver has been waking residents of Daylop Drive and Woolhampton Way, at unsociable hours, by revving a vehicle with a noise amplifier every night.
The driver on the black Mini with white roof, has been captured on camera several times and today Chairman of the Chigwell residents Association, Wilson Chowdhry, has contacted local police and shared copies of videos by email.
Video taken at 5.45 17th June 2020
A local resident has spoken with Mr Chowdhry, and made an earlier report to the local Police.
He has informed Mr Chowdhry that the disturbance is being caused by a known individual, who has a personal grudge against the neighbours family and is using the adverse behaviour to intimidate them.
Mr Chowdhry has asked the police to take the matter seriously because of the dangerous nature of the driving, the impact it is having on so many local residents (some of whom have been raising the issue on the CRRA security whatsapp group) and because of the affect it is having on the local family who are being terrorised.
Mr Chowdhry, said:
"Unfortunately, the video footage does not reveal the licence plate of the perpetrator.
"However, I hope police will use every power they have to bring this anti-social behaviour to an end.
"So many residents have been losing sleep due to the reckless behaviour of the driver, who seems to to think he is above the law.
"While many families still try to cope with the COVID-19 lockdown, this driver is exacerbating a bad situation.
"I personally believe new laws should be introduced to remove driving licences from drivers who exhibit such dangerous and annoying driving behaviours.
