Nuisance parkers force pedestrians through mud and cause damage to grassy banks

Cars parking completely on the pavement are causing safety concerns. Please sign our Petition (click here) Chigwell Row Residents Association (CRRA) have received several complaints about the parking along Lambourne Road by the Recreation Ground.   Due to cars that have been parked along the pavement area many pedestrians have been forced to walk through deep and slippery mud, causing a safety concern as well as unnecessary mess in residential homes.   For local wheelchair users and mothers with prams, crossing onto the grassy verge becomes a dangerous and tricky venture. Moreover, cars parking fully off road (which must be unlawful) are damaging the surface of the grassy banks, which will cost the council hundreds of pounds in remedial works. At last some progress with Streetlights on Romford Road and road repair on junction with Lambourne Road

 By Wilson Chowdhry Some of you will have noticed the blue barriers around the extremely unsafe pavement on the junction of Lambourne Road/Romford Road.  I have been advised repairs should be completed by end of next week and will be of a more permanent nature than last time. I have also received an email confirming the fault regarding the streetlights has now been found and that repairs should be completed soon.  It would seem that delays were caused due to COVID-19 infections.  Here is the correspondence received via the Streetlighting team: Good Afternoon   My apologies for the delay in responding. I have been off unwell since early December, however I have looked into this today and have found that our investigations identified a cable fault. This is with our Supply Chain Partner for repair.
