Amazing views of Venus during Romford Road streetlight repairs
The small speck of light above the central tree is not a trick of light but bright shining Venus.
While taking his youngest daughter to her 11-plus exam in Southend, Chairman of the Chigwell Row Residents Association, Wilson Chowdhry, took this image from somewhere along the A127.
Mr Chowdhry explained that when he left his home earlier in the morning, he noticed that the planet was even more visible and bright in Chigwell Row. A consequence of having the streetlights switched off, while Essex Council await a repair for one damaged in a recent vehicle accident (click here).
Of course the most stunning skyline will be available from our tranquil and desirable Hainault Forest.
Mr Chowdhry, said:
"Chigwell residents have an opportunity to see some glorious lights in the sky, over the next few weeks.
"November is a special month for planetary alignments visible to the human eye.
"What a great way to get the children interested in science.
"During the lockdown if you're able to wake an hour before sunrise, you could be in for a treat."
