Follow the Chigwell star to the new born king!

Thank you to all of you who have been helping us with preparing All Saint's Church for our first ever ward Christmas lights. Our thanks to all of you who supplied the various donations to make this project happen.

I now share images of our progress so far, and remind you all we will be having a launch of the festive lights on 6th December at the church.  There will be a small carol concert and Lambview Heights have agreed to provide hot drinks and mince-pies for all visitors.

When we have finished you will see the trees in the churchyard lit up, the wall of the church will have hanging icicle lights, and a nativity will be a centre piece for the project.  Look out for a shepherd and three wise men too.  If you cannot find the lights please do follow the star which will guide you to the location of Jesus in our nativity wherever you are in Chigwell Row.

Finally, I remind you that for the first time ever,  shops on Lambourne Road will also be adorned in Festive lights.  We hope you enjoy our community effort.

Please let us know in advance if you will be joining us...

On Wednesday wilson Chowdhry and an 82 year old volunteer from the church dug up a channel for new electrical sockets to power Christmas lights.

The volunteering was worth it as we saw the last of the beautiful toadstools.

Rare and wonderful diverse toadstools were visible.

A reminder that God's creation is diverse and beautiful

On Saturday we began installing light cables to the church trees you can see Anu Gulati with David Smith who is one of the Directors for Chigwell Row Residents Association.

Some volunteers were treated to a trip to the highest accessible point in Essex. (Chigwell Row is at the second highest point in Essex geographically.

We thank Anu Gulati for his help he gave a wonderful interview about his experience.

Our thanks to Devamg Patel for his help

Wilson, Neil Patel and Danny a friend of Wilson's from romford then worked till around 7pm preparing the stable for an external nativity that will be the centre point of our Christmas lights this year.

Today a few more volunteers helped finish of the building of our stable for the Chigwell Row Nativity.

Despite being right-handed at birth Hannah Chowdhry can be seen using her left-hand to saw.  She had to stop after a while as her Juvenile Arthritis made even the little effort of holding down the table with her right-hand extremely painful.  Hannah cut all the shingle pieces required for the front and back trim of the Chigwell Row Nativity stable.
