Today we have contacted the Essex Arboricultural Team for help with some local green issues.  Firstly he has been asked to plants some trees and bushes to fill a gaping hole in the tree and brush wall around Hainault Forest more secure.  This was after a complaint received from a local resident of Woolhampton Way concerned about the safety of the Electrical substation, that has become more vulnerable since the gap emerged.

Secondly, we have asked for the trimming of hawthorn bushes that edge the bridle-walk by the communal car park, opposite Chigwell Infants School. The request to us arrived via a resident from Sunnymede.  It seems that the very front of the hawthorn hedges nearest Lambourne Road have been trimmed, whereas the rest has been allowed to overgrow.

Finally we have also asked for the team to undertake a review of all our roads and footways, many of which have extremely large weeds growing on them.  This is causing damage to the surfaces of our streets.  It seems Chigwell Row, or at least large parts of it, were left off the annual weeding programme.

We will keep you updated.
