The assailant, identified as Marcus Aurelio Arduini Monzo, a Spanish-Brazilian national residing in Newham, east London, has been charged with Daniel's murder, as well as two counts of attempted murder, two counts of grievous bodily harm, aggravated burglary, and possession of a bladed article. The senseless attack on April 30th resulted in the hospitalization of two police officers and two members of the public, all suffering severe injuries. Police maintain a presence on the road as flowers and other tributes continue to be left at the corner of Laing Road and New North Road . Today, the somber police cordon along New North Road has been lifted, allowing members of the community to gather and set up a shrine in memory of the tragically slain youth, Daniel Anjorin.
